The Video:
We decided to make an interview for our project that will reflect the lesbian culture in general and moreover in Leipzig. First of all, we choose 11 questions that we wanted to ask : Where do you come from ? How would you describe yourself? Is it different to be a lesbian in Leipzig compared to where you come from? Do you personally feel that being a lesbian influences your identity? Would you say that there is a "lesbian culture", lesbian icons? Do you identify yourself with the LGBT community? Do you think the fight for LGBT rights is still relevant today? What was your experience like "coming out"? What are the worst questions you’ve been ask about being a lesbian? What is your opinion on the the representation of lesbian sexuality in popular culture? Do you think it's harder to be a lesbian because of the patriarchal state of mind? Then we found 5 women who were interested in our project and who accept to participate, we send them the questions before, they are friends who lives in Leipzig but as well people that we met in the university or people who have the same purpose, like Barbara who is working on a project called "Uferfrauen", here in Leipzig. We shot the video with a NIkon D7000 and a tascam recorder. Then we edited the video on final cut pro. The music was written y a french composer Geoffrey Turpin. Our video is 10 minutes long, the 11 questions are written, and we picked some answer everytime (we don't see all the interviews of them). |
The website :
We created the website with Weebly, we decide to put our photos of the city, the photos are made by Coline Bouret and Marine Rousseau. The pictures have been made in Leipzig. |
Social network :
We decided to create a facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/lesbiinleipzig/ and an instagram page : https://www.instagram.com/project.lesbianinleipzig/ We created this because we wanted to make our project visible for everybody, not only people from Leipzig or from the University. We actually think that we are not going to stop now, it is just the beginning of a project we care a lot about. |
